Steps Secure Comfort Care is Taking to Keep Clients Safe During the Coronavirus Crisis

Over 47 million people over the age of 65 currently live in the United States. If your parent or loved one has reached their golden years, it is your job to help them get through this stage of life comfortably and safely. Taking a hands-on approach when it comes to caring for your elderly loved one is a good idea.

If you or a loved one is in this age bracket, the main thing on your mind as of right now is the coronavirus. Since this virus came to America, over 40,000 people have contracted it. This particular virus is very dangerous for older Americans and people with pre-existing health issues. At Secure Comfort Care, we are taking extra precautions to keep our customers and our employees safe during this scary time. Read below to find out more about the changes we have made to combat coronavirus.

Our Drivers are Equipped to Handle Any Situation

If you are in charge of providing care to your elderly loved one, you know how important it is to be prepared for any situation. As soon as the coronavirus pandemic was known to the general public, the team at Secure Comfort Care sprung into action to ensure our team and customers were safe. Each of the drivers that work for our company is now equipped with important essentials like surgical masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant sprays.

Providing these essential virus fighting tools to our drivers is something we do to keep everyone safe. We have also raised our hygiene standards in our various Secure Comfort locations to ensure the spread of germs is reduced significantly.

Knowledge is Power

Another important thing we are focusing on during the coronavirus crisis is developing a strict stay at home policy. If any of our drivers are feeling under the weather or exhibiting symptoms associated with the coronavirus, they are instructed to stay at home. In addition to this stay at home policy, we are also trying to avoid the manual exchange of documents. Instead, we have begun to rely solely on digital documentation.

Not only does this help us to reduce the spread of germs, but it has also made our drivers more efficient. Each day when their shift is over, our drivers clean their vehicles from top to bottom. During this cleaning process, drivers are advised to use disinfectant to sanitize their vehicle and get it prepared for the next day.
